The Difference Between An Idea And A Plan

in Make Money, Travel

I love my readers. You are simply amazing.

Earlier this week, I asked you two important questions, and you didn’t disappoint.

I let you in on some of the reasons why I started Hack The System, and I wanted to know:

  1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  2. If you could start a meaningful project or business tomorrow, what would it be?

The responses you gave me were tremendous — there were over two dozen of them.

But I noticed something very interesting, and I’m wondering if you noticed it as well.

There were 2 types of responses to my questions.

Some of you gave answers like this:

Example #1

And some of you gave these types of answers:

Example #2

What’s the primary difference between these two answers? They both answer my questions about “where” and “what.”

But look at the second example. Do you see how much more detailed it is?

David (the commenter) included not only a specific location, but also exactly what he would do once he got there — and why. For the second question regarding the type of project he would start, he clearly mapped out exactly what he would do and the specific country he would start it in.

Compare the depth of those responses to the depth of the first comment (Wan).

I’m not picking on Wan here. In fact, I agree with him. I’d also like to go somewhere calm, and inspire people to pursue their dreams.

But which idea do you think is more likely to actually get carried out, based on the information you’ve seen so far?

Remember: Specificity is the KEY component in actually executing an idea.

Specificity is the difference between an idea and a plan.

We have to be extremely specific about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.

After we get clear about “what” and “why”, the “how” usually presents itself — although it may take several tries.

As we move along the process of working towards our goals, and we figure out the the “what,” “why,” and “how,” eventually we can even figure out the “who.”

We can find ourselves.

But we have to be SPECIFIC about our goals. Even if we end up doing something completely unrelated to our original plan, it’s the specificity that will give us enough momentum to execute.

Here were some other, extremely detailed responses that I liked:

The coolest thing about these responses (and all of them, actually) is how varied every one was. HtS readers come from all walks of life, from every corner of the world. I’m so happy to see that you’re serious about wanting to travel and make a difference.

*******

If after reading this, you’re really interested in learning more about what it takes to launch your dream project and travel around the world, then pay attention.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be letting a limited amount of people onto my “insiders” list to learn more about a course I’m developing that will teach you how to travel the world and create something you care about — in 8 weeks or less.

How do I know it’s possible? Well, I’ve done it myself for years.

You don’t have to be rich to travel the world, and you don’t need and MBA to start a location independent business that pays for your travels. But you do need a system.

If you want to be the first to access some of the great content I’m developing, just click the button below.

The difference between idea and plan is what your mind is work for.
all u need is to focus on one idea ,then u will build a plan, then u will try to make another plan (A,B).
