Happy Awkward Valentines Day, From Maneesh

in Stories

Valentines Day 2014 is here and it has me feeling more creative than ever. Perhaps you could even say romantic.

So I want to play a little game with you and learn a little bit more about the HtS audience.

Next week, we can get back to actionable content that improves your productivity, helps you build better habits and generally, live a better life. Sound good?

It feels like our generation has no shortage of awkward relationship moments — especially since the invention of the “relationship status.” (Thanks, Mark Zuckerberg.)

Here are some hilarious representations of modern love that I found today.

I’ve never been able to express this sentiment so perfectly.

The woman that earns this honor deserves my heart.

Straight to the point.

God, Google knows everything.

This one is my personal favorite…

Check out more awkward cards here. They’re hilarious.

Question: What’s your most awkward, uncomfortable Valentines Day story?

  • A bad breakup?
  • An embarrassing date?
  • A night stuck home with your parents?

Let me know in the comments. This should be fun.

Got a romantic trip to Paris – however, everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Train tickets, hotel room, sightseeing, trainride back.. all of it a disaster. So much for romance.

My awkward Valentine Day story (which in Brazil is June 12) is my girlfriend dropping by only to get my gift and a quick kiss, ow, it even rhymed. She was really pissed, about something which in here doesn’t fit. 😀

Hey, watch this youtube video I just received from Memrise (a free platform for learning languages). 100 x I love you, each in a different language:

It was freshman year in college. I asked a girl in my class out on a date. We scheduled it for “Thursday”, neither one of us realizing that Thursday was Valentine’s Day. When I realized that we had scheduled our first date for Valentine’s Day, I got a little nervous, but I didn’t want to back out so I got some chocolate and a card. She stood me up.
