9 months ago, I had an idea: What if we could invent a device that could help us form new habits?

Hell — Aristotle once said,

I began intensively experimenting with behavior change techniques, leading to the Hack the Habit Facebook Group — a group of about 100 active users who have tested dozens of techniques to improve behavior change. And it works. Here, I asked them how well the habits have stuck.

Seriously. In the course of 3 months, my team and I have identified 3 Key Techniques that make behavior change automatic

And through testing these techniques, repeatedly, we are pleased to announce the invention of Pavlok — The Habit Forming Wristband.

If you haven’t heard much about it yet, Pavlok has been mostly a secret for the last 6 months. Even the Web Site offers no info, and has no updates information since months ago.

But on Wednesday, just to a select group of Hack the System readers, I’m pleased to announce the arrival of Pavlok — the first device that efficiently triggers the habits you wish to create — and breaks the ones you wish to quit.

Plus — you’ll get the chance to shock me from across the Internet.

Yes: Pavlok uses instantaneous triggers, like vibration, beeping, and even electric shock (up to 300V) to get your attention and form triggers that the body assimilates to form habits.

Now, we haven’t made a public release yet. This is just for Hack the System readers. Don’t share this opportunity.

But if you want to learn how I joined forces with a Roomba and LEGO inventor to create a technology that can literally transform you into the person you want to be.

Join me for a live presentation. This Wednesday. Details below.

Hey Maneesh,
love the idea, but how are you getting past the insurance cost of this thing?
After seeing the video of you getting shocked, straight away I thought, what happens when someone is driving and this happens. What happens if someone is holding their baby and they get zapped by a friend and drop the baby?
Your customers will have real world situations like this happen all the time.
I’m sure your team is smart enough to have worked on a solution to this.
Good luck
Steve
