Pavlok Is Here!

Ahhh, do you smell that?

That’s the smell of launch day 🙂

For the past year, you’ve read stories about Pavlok.

You know that my team and I spent over 2 years developing the proprietary behavior change technology behind it.

You may have even see us on your local news station (we were on over 40 local news segments across the country.) We even made it on to Jimmy Fallon and the Colbert Report.

But up until now, the device has been unavailable for purchase.

Today, all of that changes.

Pavlok is officially here.

The official Pavlok device

What is Pavlok?

Pavlok is the world’s first wearable device + application that not only tracks your daily activity, but also helps you to actually create new habits and break old ones using powerful behavioral feedback systems.

How does Pavlok work?

Research shows that consistency is the key to forming a new habit — so we created a device that utilizes your brain’s natural habit mechanism to make consistency much easier. In a very short time, your new behavior will become automatic.

It all starts with choosing a habit that you want to build, then programming it into the Pavlok app.

Exercise every day, be more productive online, learn a new language, wake up earlier, practice an instrument — the possibilities are endless.

Once you’ve selected your intended behavior, the app will break your goal down into easy, manageable actions. Each day, Pavlok will push you to stay on track and form the lasting habit. If you succeed, you’ll be rewarded.

But don’t miss a day.

The Pavlok app communicates with the wristband intelligently to determine when you’ve achieved your goals for the day — and if you haven’t, there are consequences.

From posting on your social media, to monetary penalties, to even an electric shock — our technology makes sure you always follow through with your goals — making behavior change inevitable.

Once you’ve mastered one habit, you can use Pavlok to build another and keep up your transformation into a better you.

What types of habits can Pavlok help me create?

In our research group, we’ve helped people build nearly every type of habit. Some of the most popular were:

  • Exercising every day
  • Getting focused/productive
  • Language learning
  • Creative writing
  • Painting
  • Meditation
  • Healthy eating
  • Finishing your to-do lists
  • Mastering new hobbies
  • The possibilities are literally unlimited. If you can dream it, Pavlok can help you create it.

Dozens of people have already experienced life-changing results. You can hear some of their stories on the campaign page.

Heather started painting every day. What habit could you build?

What’s included with Pavlok?

The Pavlok system consists of two elements: the wearable device and the application.

The Pavlok wristband

The wearable device uses the most sophisticated technology on the market to track your behavior throughout the day and provide real time feedback. It knows when you’re wearing it, connects seamlessly to other devices via bluetooth, and can even shock you.

You can also choose exactly how you want to wear Pavlok. The sensor is removable, and can be placed anywhere on the body using special adhesive stickers.

Removable Pavlok modules. Pick your color.

The module itself is quite small

Next, the application.

Several apps have already been created to pair with your Pavlok device —

including applications to help you wake up on time, go to the gym, or stay away from distracting websites

Pavlok is a platform — we’ve made it open to developers by crafting an API, simple in nature, but epic in potential. The API allows ANYONE to develop an app that utilizes Pavlok’s capabilities to train behavior and change habits.

Our API is already built and working, and some developers have already begun developing for it.

We plan to integrate with ifttt.com, a website that connects different products with different APIs.  Additionally, we’ve created a powerful developer API that allows users to download and create apps to share with others. Here are examples of some potential integrations.

  • Shock you when you text your ex-lover.
  • Remind you to take your medicine, and connect to a smart Pill bottle to prove compliance
  • Beep loudly any time you step inside of a McDonald’s.
  • Improve your golf swing or powerlifting technique using other wearable sensors and our scalable vibration motor.
  • Help you meditate by having you commit to a training app.
  • Integrate with smart EEG brain devices to train and get feedback on your mental states.
  • Use Pavlok to remind you to eat more protein or walk more steps.
  • Ensure that you get up from your computer every hour to stretch.
  • Train and remind you not to go on distracting websites in realtime.
  • and INFINITELY MORE use cases….

How to get your Pavlok device

As a “thank you” for being on the early bird list, we’re lowering the price to $99. The devices retail for $149. As soon as our initial batch of units are gone, that price is going up.

Pavlok is shipping soon — and the media attention we’ve received over the last month literally ensures we’ll sell out.

Now is your chance to grab your very own Pavlok.

Change your behavior. Change your habits. Become the best version of yourself.

Amazon reviews appear to indicate that the apps hadn’t been developed yet. Are you still working on this project, or did you decide to close it out?

I got mine this week. Works well, just can’t find access to any API yet and I don’t have an iphone to use the app.

$100k after just 4 days, and still 27 days to go… awesome! If somebody had predicted that before launch day, would you have believed it?
