in Travel, Uncategorized

For the Four Hour Workweek blog, I was a finalist in a recent video competition. I wanted to show exactly how I live the digitally nomadic lifestyle. Want to see how I manage to travel the world, work 3h59m per week, and start businesses all over the world? Watch the video.

Hey there!

What an incredible life journey this is for you! Keeping up with you and Ferriss convinceed me to find the perfect job to be a stuardess in Dubai which I start in a few weeks. I saw one of your YouTube videos that you have some type of international internet package? Where can I find out about that? Also, what do you do about your cell phone situation? Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

hey! thanks! 🙂 The internet wasn’t international, it was an indian based package, so you should just go talk to a dubai telecom company about that internet dongle. For cellphones, I just buy a new SIM card in every country. Good luck!

Hi Maneesh,

What kind of wireless broadband stick are you using on your travels?

Thanks
Aaron

Hi Maneesh,
Thank you for your video! I watched it first on Tim’s site. I really fell in love with the lifestyle tag you attached to yourself “digital nomad”. I got myself a usb modem as well which allows me to stay in touch from rural Nicaragua.
Anyway, how is your savethem project going? There are no updates on the site or did I miss it?

Take care,
Nina

SaveThem is good! We funded the completion of the library, and they are using it for regular classes now. The school has several computers, although using them has been hard without a full time teacher. I look forward to getting to spend some time in the city to help out more. But the students have tons of new facilities and are getting a chance to learn with the help of several Indian teachers!

Where do you send your articles to once they have been written and edited by your people in India?

Hey, the money articles go to hubpages.com or my own domain, where I place adsense ads on it.

Just saw your video on 4hww and loved it. Definitely the best one on there and was really informative. One question though, I was wondering how you actually make money. I understand the adwords part and then having someone write the articles and then they get uploaded. But what happens after that?

Very awesome idea for a business model. I like it.

I’m currently working on my first muse as an affiliate marketing website. However if that doesnt give me the results i want, i think i’ll adopt a similar strategy to what you have done and see if it works.

Love your work man. Peace

This video has motivated me to start making changes to my life. I have high-hopes in achieving my dreams but I continuously get distracted. This video has helped me simply figure out what I need to eliminate in my life.

AWESOME Video!!! LOVE The outtakes LOL!!!!

I first saw this video on 4HWW and we are working on implementing EXACTLY
what you are doing…

We have an online business http://TelecomSlayer.com and we are automating it to allow us to do EXACTLY as you are doing… i.e. charity work for children etc.

You definitely inspire me Maneesh!

You’re da man! Seriously, I watched your video before I’d read the 4HWW work and was sold already! I was really envious of you just owning a few things and travelling the world while earning an income as that’s my dream (which I’d given up on). As a developer myself I’ve put a slightly different spin on your idea and will see how I go. Many thanks for the video and most importantly, the inspiration!

What was your idea? Or spin on the idea?

I first saw Mr. Sethi’s video on the 4HWW site when he was a finalist in the recent contest there.

His video was different: while other entries focused on what their authors were able to do after applying some ideas from Tim Ferriss and his fresh, ingenious book, Mr. Sethi gave specific details about his method for achieving his location and time independence.

Method and details were what the contest originally asked for. Just like they tell you in school: be sure you answer what the test question actually askes you to answer, not what you think is asked! Mr. Sethi followed the directions better than most, in my opinion.

As I tried to “back engineer” Mr. Sethi’s results, I found some of the areas where I could use more information. Hopefully, as a fan and aspiring digital nomad, I’ll be able to follow in his footsteps.

Mr. Sethi’s use of newly-found time and resources to help children is also inspiring me to lend a hand to those less fortunate.

Thank you, Mr. Sethi.

Cheers,
Ben Randle
